Calling all Redux Developers: New Beta Test!

Hey, folks! Kev, the lead dev of Redux, here! I’m sending this message today because we’re looking for some beta testers for Redux. Over the last year, we’ve begun adding our extension library to the Redux core. Most of those transitions have been more or less seamless, as the code changes were not significant.

The Redux Expansion Continues: Repeater Field

Welcome to the new year, folks! To kick off 2022, we’re adding to the Redux core, free of charge, the trendy Repeater field. Many of our long-time users know the field well, but if you’re new to Redux, here is a quick breakdown of what it does! The Redux Repeater extension easily allows developers to group like fields in a dynamic or static number. Return values are then grouped (nested) under a single key or under each key depending upon how you configure the field (see documentation link below). Regardless of the return value mode, all values return as an array. Here is the Repeater field in action, which you can view via the Redux Demo Panel. In the past, four individual Redux fields were not compatible for use within the Repeater field. Those were Checkbox in multi-mode, Sorter, Typography, and Editor. We’ve resolved these incompatibilities. Here is where we could use your help. The Beta version of Redux that contains the Repeater field in core is now available for testing via the Redux Framework GitHub repository. The more eyes we have on this beta test, the quicker we’ll be able to offer this update as a stable release. After downloading and installing this beta version, there’s nothing extra you need to do, especially if you’re currently using the Repeater field in your project. Load up your existing project or enable the Redux Demo Panel and give it a spin! …

Newest Redux Beta now available, including Metaboxes!

Calling all Redux developers! We’re pleased to offer our most popular Pro extension, Metaboxes, free as part of the Redux core! We’re offering a sneak preview via the Redux GitHub repository to give you a head start and help shake out any issues that may exist. Most importantly, there is nothing additional you need to do! We designed the transition to be seamless. We’re offering this short-term beta to provide you the opportunity to verify a seamless transition. Instructions for testing are available in the notes of the Redux repository. Please post any issues you experience to the repository issue tracker.

Gutenberg Template Library Upgrade

We’re excited to share that we’ve upgraded the Gutenberg Template Library in Redux in version 4.3. Over the past year, thousands of people have used the Template Library to easily build their sites using one-click Gutenberg templates and patterns. However, we’ve heard feedback from many of you on how we can improve the experience. What’s staying the same? Users still have access to 1,000+ templates and patterns. All Redux Pro users will be able to use their existing license key to continue to get unlimited access to the template library. All free users will have the ability to import up to 3 templates or patterns. For those who had already imported templates in the legacy library, your counter has now been reset and you are able to import up to 3 additional templates in the updated library. Any templates or patterns that you previously imported will continue to work as they always have. What’s changing? Templates no longer rely on 3rd party block libraries. For most templates, no additional plugins need to be added! Templates have a consistent style. You can pick your style and mix and match templates and patterns that work well together. Extendify is the team behind Redux and we are using the Extendify name for the library. What’s coming up? Every week we’re adding more templates to the library! We will be adding more styling options! We are working to improve the library experience and speed. …

Redux 4.0 > WordPress Blocks Super Powered

Redux 4.0 is a complete re-imaging of what Redux can do. From it’s previous focus on only developers to a full 180 focusing on bringing templates to the masses.  Now it’s easier than ever before to build beautiful block-based templates fast, coming with hundreds of templates all ready to be imported with a click of a button, Redux makes working with the block editor easy.  That’s not to say Redux isn’t still perfect for developers too, but now rather than being only for developers Redux is for everyone. In this article we’ll be taking you through what Redux is, where Redux is going and what’s new with Redux 4.0.  What is Redux? You might already be familiar with the name Redux, after all it has over 900,000+ active installs and powers of plugins and themes built by developers worldwide.  Redux made the complex simple. Building admin options for plugins and themes and then later making the customizer a breeze to work with from a developer’s point of view.  Then Gutenberg came to the forefront and Dovy, the founder of Redux, came to believe the days of an option framework were limited. After all Gutenberg, which became the block editor, was gunning for page builders and themes, so what should he do? With a background in big data Dovy knew there was a better way to build templates and get everything the user needs in one place rather than having to …
